What the Chamber member can expect
We talk about Coaching AND Mentoring however they are in fact two quite different approaches.
A coach will work with you to help develop your self-awareness and to support you in your personal development. The methodology is based on well established practice. Our panel are qualified, certified and highly experienced in working with people at all levels in an organisation and every stage in their career. A coach will focus on individual or team development. The coach can help you or your team become more effective, address development opportunities, achieve personal career objectives and business objectives.
A mentor will bring their sectoral and functional experience to the table. A mentor will have extensive experience in working in organisations and will be able to share that experience with you. You will learn different approaches, methodologies, what works/what doesn’t, tips/tricks from a mentor.
Engagement Process
There are occasions where a coach is more appropriate than a mentor and vice versa. There are other occasions where a mixed approach is the more suitable approach.
The initial triage call will seek to identify the most appropriate approach and therefore the most suitable person to assign.
