For the 1st time in history, there are now 5 different generations active in the workplace simultaneously. We want to celebrate this fact and encourage the 5 generations to collaborate and connect in the workplace for the benefit of all.
The Intergenerational (or multigenerational) workplace is a consequence of the longer and healthier lives many can now look forward to. On average we are living 30 years longer than our grandparents. Not everybody wants to exit the workplace at a certain age point in their lives and society in general benefits from retaining that expertise that many years of experience has created.
At The Grey Matters Network we are enthusiastic supporters of the Intergenerational Workplace. We have held several major events, pre Covid. We are delighted with the support we have receive from organisations, academia, and politicians.
We believe that an age diverse and inclusive workplace is good for all.
We intend to continue to promote and encourage this conversation through this forum.
